Hello Subscribers!
This last month we included 2021-22 Revolution TMALL packs in some Basketball and Multisport subscription boxes. Some of these packs have some poor factory crimping on the vertical seal of the pack, and this was brought to my attention by a new subscriber.
Unfortunately this subscriber took this as a sign that we were opening and resealing packs, and that is simply not the case, nor is it even possible. Regardless, this whole business is built on honesty and transparency and an accusation like this is deeply upsetting. I want to make sure that this is addressed as soon as possible.
This is photo the customer sent:
This is not a reseal, this is the vertical seal made when the mylar roll is folded and made into a pouch. What I suspect is that these packs either slipped, twisted or otherwise went through the sealing process incorrectly. Cards are inserted at the factory after these pouches are cut and the ends are sealed. These is no way to open this vertical seal without breaking the seal on the ends, and this pack is still properly sealed on both ends.
I checked with the remaining packs from this box and all of the packs are the same way, with the poor vertical seal and the end seals intact:
Ultimately this is just poor quality control at Panini, these boxes are all sourced from licensed distributors and dealers, are fully factory sealed, and never altered in any way.
In the interest of customer service, if you did receive one of these packs in your subscription box and are concerned, reach out to me at info@hitboxsportscards.ca and I will be more than happy to replace it in your next box with a pack of higher value.
